Yes, it’s here, Holiday Decorating Time! The first few pots are done and some lights have already been strung. It’s November 6, an early start, but after last year’s frigid, snowy November/December, I wanted to beat the winter weather.
Yeah, well so much for that idea. Below average temperatures and accumulating snow in the forecast for most of next week. Oh great!
Can I just say that outdoor decorating is NOT fun in those kind of conditions.
The holiday decorating season always comes with ups and downs. Frozen fingers and toes, pulling a trailer in the snow, trying to thaw out frozen pots, dealing with lights, finger cramping from making bows, carpal tunnel from cutting greens, losing my best pair of pruners, dealing with lights (oh sorry did I already say that) so the list goes on and on and on…..
The upside of the season, seeing the results-
Are we in for another wicked winter like last year? Predictions seem to vary this year, so I’ll guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I’m loaded up with hand and foot warmers, I’ll survive!
