I feel like I’ve slowly been waking up from the winter hibernation.  The daffodils are blooming and the grass is greening up!  I didn’t do my usual round of early spring plantings this year because Spring seemed to skip us. We’ve started to have a few spring-like days but May is only 4 days away!!

Even though I say I skipped early spring plantings I did do a few before Easter. Primarily pansies, I didn’t feel comfortable planting any of the other cold tolerant annuals because the night temps have just been too cold.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but they are predicting an unseasonably cool summer for Michigan, especially cool in May and June.

So these spring plantings may last even longer than we want them to!
