6 New Annual Flowers for 2018

Just like that our weather has turned and April is now amazing! We just wrapped up spring plantings and now preparing to start summer plantings. Here’s a quick look at six new annual flowers that I’m excited about for 2018.

Senecio ‘Angel Wings’-Wow!! The velvety, silver leaves of this plant will be an amazing addition to summer containers for color and texture. It will really shine at night on a patio!

Zinnia ‘Profusion Red’-Profusion zinnias have been around for a while.  They are one of my absolute favorites flowers to use in annual beds! There has never been a true red in the Profusion Zinnia series, until now. YES!!!

Coleus ‘Trailing Plum’-You can never have enough Coleus in your life. This coleus has a great trailing habit and the color is amazing. Great for sun or shade planters!

Eucalyptus ‘Silver Drop’-This is a plant you often see in floral bouquets but it’s also a great addition to summer planters. The texture, color and growth habit will be an attention grabber in a large planter.

Calibrichoa ‘Can Can Bumble Bee Pink’-This flower is just plain cute! Pair this with yellow  for a striking combo.

Angelonia ‘Spreading Bluebird’-This flower loves heat. Can’t go wrong with this in a summer planter. Unlike most Angelonia’s this one doesn’t grow tall it spreads so it will make a great filler in combinations.

Looking forward to summer!
