Top 10-Spring 2015, the good, the bad and the ugly!

I always enjoyed David Letterman’s Top 10 lists! Now that he’s retired I thought I would take over for him and make my own Top 10 list. Hope you enjoy it!

Top 10- Spring 2015, the good, the bad and the ugly!

10. Samara from maple trees (aka helicopters or whirligigs). Those things were everywhere! I think I’ve pulled billions of them this season, from pots, annual beds, and even my trailer see picture below.

9.  All the plastic that accumulates after the season is done, this is only one of several large piles. Uggh…

8.  My almost midnight dinners, three weeks in a row.

7.  Finding the best person to run the watering wand, my husband. This is the first year he’s done this for me, but after one time he was hooked, he said it was relaxing!! You’re hired!

6.  Having disgustingly dirty hands.  Someone said to me, “Oh my, you have working hands!”  I’ll take that as a complement!

5.  Having my own personal snake catcher, my youngest son.  You can see the pure joy in his face after catching this snake.  I’m so scared of snakes it’s not even funny. Although my boys and husband think it’s hilarious, they will chase me around the yard swinging snakes at me, no joke. (don’t you feel sorry for me) This snake was underneath one of the trays of flowers, I bent down to pick up the tray, out it slithered, the screaming began!

4.  Coming back after a long day with an empty trailer. Love it when this happens!

3. Turning this, into this! Instant gratification.

2. Seeing the progress of the plantings. Every year I’m so amazed by this, it’s just downright thrilling for me!

Drum Roll…….
The #1 highlight of Spring 2015
Seeing my boys win the championship Little League game!  Even though their season runs through my busiest time of the year I always look forward to watching their games.  This was the first year they’ve been on a team that went all the way.  So HAPPY for them!

The flowers are gone, the trailer is put away, my hands are clean, sort of clean, there’s still some dirt under my nails.  Thanks to all my great clients for another amazing season! I’m off to a far away island for a little R&R! Catch up with you in a few weeks.
