The Window Boxes of Charleston

I saved what I think to be the best for last in this three-part series about Charleston, the window boxes! In case you missed the other two posts, check them out here, The Gardens of Charleston, Middleton Place & Magnolia Plantation.

When I first visited in October I was taken back by the beautiful window boxes. Most of the boxes still had their summer flowers but some were being changed over to fall/winter flowers.  Going back to Charleston in February for Digging In, I got to take in more window box beauty seeing the winter and spring flowers.

At Digging In we were fortunate to have three of “The Charleston Window Box Ladies” talk to the group. They are responsible for creating all this beauty in Charleston and let me tell you, they are doing an amazing job! It was fun to hear them share their experiences working in historic Charleston.  These talented designers were even featured in Southern Living.
